Design and Technology encompasses a range of skills and opportunities for all children. At Probus School Design and Technology is taught through a bespoke curriculum, tailored to the needs of our children and ensuring progression in skills and knowledge as they move up through the school.
Decisions for the topics covered are based on the following reasons:

Through the sequencing of opportunities, Design and Technology looks at construction, materials for purpose and food and nutrition. Skills are developed and built upon between year groups and an understanding of design in the real world is taught. Links are made to modern technologies using 'Lego' and coding to operate an improvements to functionality are explored.
